Parental Controls programs are definately the best solution to this problem. The are in fact many different solutions you could use.

One very effective and reliable program that will accomplish this is Sentry Parental Controls. It allows you to choose the category, URL, or keyword to block sites with. This allows you to adjust the program to block the most of what you do not want seen.

For more information here’s the site: http://www.sentryparentalcontrols.com

How can I block pornography. I am tired of accidentally opening unsolicited pornographic messages. HELP!?

November 30th, 2008

I keep getting pornographic emails, which I hate and want completely blocked from reaching my in-box. There are little children in the family and I do not want them to be exposed to such garbage. I DO NOT WANT TO BE EXPOSED TO THAT GARBAGE, and would hate to have to switch to AOL or some other provider.

In options on the mail page enter spam protection and have it block all images it thinks is spam. It will slow them down.

Verizon, Sprint and Time Warner Cable have agreed to block access to child pornography?

November 26th, 2008

Verizon, Sprint and Time Warner Cable have agreed to block access to child pornography and eliminate the material from their servers. Is Yahoo! going to do the same?
You make it sound like Verizon, Sprint and Time Warner Cable are the only companies doing something. What the news really says is that New York’s attorney general found 88 newsgroups and 11,000 illegal pictures hosted by those providers. So they didn’t “agreed’ from the their good heart, they were “FORCED” to do something. Just because you don’t see the Yahoo name on that report doesn’t mean they and other companies are not doing anything. The news report is just about companies that have been CAUGHT allowing illegal material in their own newsgroups.
